These terms apply when you use krittex.ca or buy from Krittex ("we", "us"). By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to them. If you're ordering for a company, you confirm you're authorized to agree on its behalf.
Accounts
Installer pricing, volume tiers and subscriptions are available to installer company accounts. You're responsible for keeping your account details accurate and your sign-in secure, and for orders placed through your account. Homeowners can check out as guests. We may suspend accounts that are used fraudulently or in breach of these terms.
Products and compatibility
K1 clips are matched to solar panel frames. Compatibility is based on the panel make and model, or the frame dimensions, you provide. Please check them before ordering. If you're unsure, upload the panel data sheet or contact us before you buy. Install K1 according to our instructions and the panel and racking manufacturers' requirements.
Prices and payment
- Prices are in Canadian dollars. GST/HST and other applicable taxes are added at checkout.
- Volume pricing is based on the total feet in a single order. Orders over 25,000 ft are quoted separately.
- Card payments are processed by Stripe when you check out. Orders paid by invoice are due by the date on the invoice.
- We may correct obvious pricing errors and will contact you before shipping if an order is affected.
Subscriptions
Monthly subscriptions ship the same quantity every month and are charged to your card at the start of each billing period, including the delivery charge shown at signup. You can cancel or change a subscription at any time from your account; changes apply from the next billing period. Charges already processed aren't refunded for a partial month.
Shipping and delivery
Shipping prices and delivery times shown before checkout are estimates from our carriers. Delivery dates aren't guaranteed. Please make sure the delivery address, address type (commercial or residential) and dock or forklift details are correct, as extra carrier charges caused by incorrect details may be billed to you. Check your shipment when it arrives and note any visible damage on the carrier's delivery receipt. Report damage or missing items to us within 5 business days.
Returns
Unopened boxes in resaleable condition can be returned within 30 days of delivery. Contact us first for a return authorization. Return shipping is paid by the customer unless the item was damaged, defective or shipped in error. Refunds go back to the original payment method once we receive and inspect the return.
Warranty
We warrant that K1 products are free from defects in materials and workmanship when installed and used as directed. If a product is defective, we'll repair it, replace it or refund the purchase price, at our choice. This warranty doesn't cover damage from improper installation, misuse, modification, accidents or extreme events. Except where the law says otherwise, this is the only warranty we give.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as lost profits, labour or callback costs, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the products involved. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
Intellectual property
The K1 system, including its vertical slot design and clip, is patent pending. The Krittex name, logo, product designs and site content belong to Krittex. Don't copy, reproduce or reverse engineer our products or content for commercial use without written permission.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version in effect when you place an order applies to that order.
